Hailing the late Rush Limbaugh, former President Donald Trump said the conservative radio icon is "watching closely" and "smiling down on us."
"I also want to pay my love and respect to the great Rush Limbaugh, who is watching closely," Trump said early in his Conservative Political Action Conference speech Sunday in Orlando, Florida. "He's smiling down on us. He's watching and he's loving it."
Trump also gave a hat tip to his widow Kathryn Limbaugh, whose husband succumbed to lung cancer Feb. 17.
"And he loves Kathryn," Trump said. "Kathryn, thank you for being here. So great. Thank you, Kathryn. He loves you, Kathryn. I will tell you that. Oh, fantastic. Thank you, Kathryn very much."
