Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that Donald Trump would've been "crowned" as the Republican Party's presidential nominee under any other circumstances and slammed establishment party members for playing a "game of undermining him."
"If it were anybody but Donald Trump, he'd be crowned as the candidate and we'd be beginning the organizing process to get [Ted] Cruz and [John] Kasich supporting him," Giuliani told the "Kilmeade and Friends" syndicated radio program.

"It's only because of … this 'establishment Republican resistance' to him that they're still trying to play this game of undermining him," he said.
Referring to Trump's crushing victory in the New York primary on Tuesday, Giuliani said that he was working to get fellow Republicans to realize that the developer is the likely candidate.
"We've got to get them to face the reality: 'Look, let's stop kidding around. It's going to be Donald against Hillary — and do we want four years of Hillary?'
"Let that sink in — and let's get behind Donald and get all this fighting all over with.
"Last night's victory was so big — and not only was it big, it was cross-sectional," Giuliani said. "He demonstrated something that most Republicans can't do: winning New York and winning Mississippi.
"You just don't get a candidate that can do both.
"He beat Cruz in the South, and Cruz's appeal is very narrow," Giuliani added. "There's no question that he has a better chance of beating Hillary."
He added that he would eventually hit the campaign trail for Trump "in good time."
