The Democratic Party has a deep rift that benefits the GOP, RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is expected to say Friday in a speech.
According to The Washington Times, McDaniel will make the comment in a speech at the Republican Party's summer gathering in Austin.
"The Democrats are more divided than ever," the Times quotes McDaniel as saying in prepared remarks.
"Their party keeps moving farther and farther to the left. They continue to push out-of-touch policies that will not only hurt their chances this year, but also hurt the American people."
McDaniel added that Trump's policies are keeping the economy running strong and he is making good on campaign promises by working to make all trade fair and choosing Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.
"If we listed these accomplishments on a resume without putting President Trump's name on it, even the most obstructionist Democrats would cheer!" McDaniel is expected to say. "We are in a remarkable season of growth, and President Trump keeps delivering."
On Friday, the GOP voted for Charlotte to host the 2020 Republican National Convention ahead of that year's presidential election. Charlotte hosted the Democratic National Convention in 2012.
"We are so thrilled. Congratulations, Charlotte," McDaniel said.
It was reported this week that the RNC has raised $213 million for the 2018 midterm elections cycle, more than double the DNC's total of $101 million.
