The far majority of Democrats think the party will join together after this summer's national convention following a contentious primary season.
A new Rasmussen Reports poll shows that 76 percent of likely Democratic voters think it's likely the members of the party will unite behind whichever candidate is chosen as the nominee, either Hillary Clinton or Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
Forty-one percent think it's "very likely" the party will unite.
A further 20 percent of those surveyed said it's unlikely the Democratic party will come together.
The Democratic National Convention is scheduled for July 25 to 28 in Philadelphia.
Clinton leads Sanders in the delegate vote total and is
leading all major national polls.
Clinton said this week she
would not debate Sanders ahead of the June 7 California primary, even after Sanders said he would. On Thursday, Trump and Sanders both said they
would debate each other before California — and Trump said he wants to do it for a women's health charity.
