Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are leading by double-digits two weeks ahead of the Maryland primary, according to an
NBC 4/Marist poll released Tuesday night.
According to the poll, which Marist College conducted by telephone from April 5-9 of 368 likely Republican voters and 775 likely Democratic party voters:
- Trump: 41 percent;
- Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, 29 percent;
- Ohio Gov. John Kasich, 24 percent.
- 58 percent of GOP voters strongly support their candidate;
- 33 percent somewhat support their candidate;
- 7 percent may change their minds.
And in the Democratic race:
- Clinton, 58 percent;
- Sanders, 36 percent.
- 69 percent of Democratic voters strongly support their candidate;
- 23 percent somewhat support their candidate;
- 7 percent may change their minds.
The poll carried a 5.1 percentage point margin of error for Republicans and a 3.5-point Republican primary voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 5.1 percentage points, and 775 likely Democratic primary voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
