Fifty-eight percent of Americans oppose the Republican plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, with 71 percent against Congress making aid cuts to Medicaid, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.

Here are the results of the poll of 1,212 voters, conducted between Thursday and Tuesday:

How do you feel about the GOP healthcare plan?

  • Disapprove: 58 percent.
  • Approve: 16 percent.

How do you feel your insurance premiums will change under the plan?

  • Go up: 41 percent.
  • Stay the same: 35 percent.
  • Go down: 10 percent.

How do you feel about proposed cuts to Medicaid?

  • Disapprove: 71 percent.
  • Approve: 24 percent.

How do you feel about proposed cuts for Planned Parenthood?

  • Disapprove: 61 percent.
  • Approve: 35 percent.

How likely are you to re-elect a senator who votes for the healthcare plan?

  • Less likely: 46 percent.
  • Won't be a factor: 33 percent.
  • More likely: 17 percent.

"Call it a dressed-up retread of the last GOP healthcare plan, or simply a wolf in sheep's clothing," said Tim Malloy, the poll's assistant director. "Americans aren't buying this latest version of the plan to kill Obamacare.

"And the dismissal comes with the dire warning: If you vote for this one, you may not be around to vote for the next version."

The Quinnipiac University poll has a margin of error of 3.4 percent.
