President Donald Trump and Joe Biden are locked in a tie in Georgia, according to a new Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll.
Forty-seven percent of likely voters backed Trump and another 47% backed Biden. One percent favored Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen and 4% were undecided.
Here are highlights from the Georgia poll released on Monday:
- 49% approve of Trump’s job performance, compared to 51% who disapprove.
- 47% back Republican Sen. David Perdue’s reelection effort, compared to 45% who favor Democrat Jon Ossoff.
- In the other Senate race, a “jungle primary,” Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler was favored by 24%, GOP Rep. Doug Collins and Democrat Raphael Warnock each had 20%. Two other Democrats, Matt Lieberman and Ed Tarver had 11% and 5% respectively.
The poll, conducted Sept. 11-20, surveyed 1,150 likely voters in Georgia. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.3 percentage points.
