Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who ran for president in 2008, has said he is considering it again this time around. And his close friend Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., says Giuliani is about ready to take the plunge,
The Washington Examiner reports.

He "is very close to saying he's going to run," King said at a dinner with reporters. "If he were to make the decision today, he would run."
Giuliani has been working to build support and determine his strategy, King said.
Giuliani also is trying to figure out what went wrong in 2008, when he failed to focus much on primaries before Florida and never gained traction.
The former mayor may have been heartened by a recent WMUR/CNN poll of New Hampshire Republicans showing him tied for fourth in that state with Tim Pawlenty. Mitt Romney was first, Ron Paul second, and Newt Gingrich third.
