House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused the Trump administration of dragging its feet on coronavirus relief efforts in a new letter to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.

Pelosi sent a letter to Mnuchin Thursday, in which she outlined a number of items that House lawmakers are still awaiting answers on from the White House in regard to the relief bill that's been stalled for months.

"More than a week ago, you publicly announced that the White House would accept Democrats' testing, tracing, and treatment language with only a 'light touch.' We still have not received a final answer on new compromise language regarding whether the Administration will agree to the national, science-based strategy for testing, tracing, and treatment that is needed to crush the virus, as well as language on vaccines, the provider fund and ACA coverage for unemployed workers," Pelosi wrote.

She then listed a number of other items that are still outstanding, including financial relief at the state, local, and tribal levels to "honor our heroes and prevent devastating cuts to services"; funding on how to to "safely reopen our schools"; funding child care; strengthening the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit; extending unemployment insurance; and "a response on whether the White House will agree to keep our workers safe as they risk their lives and jobs to keep us safe and keep the economy running."

Pelosi said these items are holding up the virus relief talks. As of Thursday morning, 9.1 million Americans have gotten sick from the virus and more than 233,000 have died.

"Your responses are critical for our negotiations to continue," Pelosi wrote. "The President's words that 'after the election, we will get the best stimulus package you have ever seen' only have meaning if he can get Mitch McConnell to take his hand off the pause button and get Senate Republican Chairmen moving toward agreement with their House counterparts."
