A banker who has done business with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was the victim of a mysterious home burglary Monday night.

According to WNBC, David Fallarino of Citizens Bank told police he heard a noise around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at his Manhattan penthouse. When he checked his terrace, he found a crowbar. His wine cabinet was also open and there was a bottle of wine on the floor, he said.

Missing, however, was a pair of sneakers, an iPad, and Fallarino's briefcase.

Police have not made any arrests, and it appeared the perpetrator entered the apartment through the terrace and left via the front door.

Fallarino did not testify at Manafort's recent trial, where President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman was found guilty on eight counts of bank and tax fraud. But Fallarino's two assistants testified for the state regarding a loan Manafort applied for with the bank. A vice president from the bank also testified and said Manafort should not have been allowed to obtain a $3.4 million loan, American Banker reported.

Fallarino has been with Citizens Bank since 2015 and works as a producing lending manager, according to his LinkedIn profile.
