The reality TV president is drawing blockbuster ratings during the coronavirus pandemic, rivaling "The Bachelor" and "Monday Night Football," according to Nielsen.

The White House has resumed the daily press briefings, hosted by Trump and his coronavirus task force, averaging 8.5 million viewers on cable news, The New York Times reported.

"The Bachelor" draws those numbers, according to Nielsen ratings.

Monday's task force briefing drew "Monday Night Football" Nielsen numbers of 12.2 million viewers, per the report.

And, per the Times, the Nielsen numbers short the president on viewership from the major networks ABC, CBS, and NBC and online, because of the way Nielsen ratings are conducted.

The briefings begin with a Trump address to the media and the nation, followed by task force leader, Vice President Mike Pence, and experts like Dr. Deborah Birx, National Institute of Health's Dr. Anthony Fauci, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, FEMA officials, Attorney General William Barr, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow, among others.

The briefings are roughly scheduled during the main news hours, starting as early as 5 p.m. ET and lasting as much as an hour and a half.
