A PAC, headed by an emergency room doctor, plans to air a TV ad during Sunday’s presidential debate attacking President Donald Trump over healthcare, Politico is reporting.

The 30-second spot starts off with Dr. Rob Davidson of the Committee to Protect Medicare, saying: “Donald Trump is engaging in disgusting divide and conquer politics to distract and create distrust, while quietly trying to cut the Medicare and pre-existing condition protections many of us depend on. This is not who we are.

“Whether white, black or brown, we believe that all families deserve affordable healthcare -- especially during these uncertain times. Our committee is taking this message into key swing states. We are launching a $1 million ad buy. And tonight, I am asking you to donate and join our fight to beat Donald Trump.”

Politico noted that a video of Davidson went viral earlier this year when the doctor questioned Vice President Mike Pence in Iowa on the administration’s proposed Medicaid changes.

The PAC is planning to run other ads on television and online in Wisconsin and Michigan, two swing states.
