Nikki Haley: WHO's COVID Report Merely 'Chinese Propaganda'

One can't look at the World Health Organization's report on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic and say it tells the whole story because "anything they say will be Chinese propaganda," former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley said Tuesday.

"I think you can pretty much throw the credibility of the World Health Organization out the window when they didn't listen to Taiwan the last week in December saying it was human-to-human transmission," Haley said on Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "Instead, they went to China and got marching orders, and only then came back and allowed the rest of the world to suffer."

According to the report, officially released on Tuesday, the study's findings blamed the origins of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 on transmission from animals to humans. It also said the virus being leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a large Chinese research facility near the city where the virus was first reported, was "extremely unlikely."

Haley said it's vital to find out how the pandemic started, and to hold China accountable for the disease.

"The idea that millions of people have suffered, and not one finger has pointed back to China from the world community, there is a real problem with that," Haley said. "If they can get away with killing millions of people, they can get away with a whole lot more."

Haley said she was concerned China will not pay a price in relation to the pandemic, and she thinks the Biden administration is coming across as being "very naive" with Beijing and on a world front.

She pointed out the administration already has been "humiliated" in its first meeting with Chinese officials, and Russian President Vladimir Putin has challenged President Joe Biden to a debate after the president agreed in an interview that Putin is a "killer."

Further, she said China and Iran have made a "huge deal that will put terrorism around the world at an even larger level" by signing a 25-year strategic deal, that has Beijing investing millions in Iran in exchange for oil.

Also, North Korea recently shot ballistic missiles into the sea, Haley said.

"The Biden administration is in way over its head on this, and they are playing nice and being naive, [but] China is running all over them," Haley said.

The China-Iran deal, she added, gives Iran a "massive influx of money" that will go on to its proxies. "Worse than that, they established a bank situation which goes back to what they are all trying to do, which is to make sure the U.S. dollar is no longer the world reserve, so this is serious," Haley said.

"China has made a massive power play by aligning with Iran and Russia and North Korea and they are going to continue to do this," she added. "The U.S. can't sit back and play nice. We have to start moving. We have to get with our allies. We have to start getting aggressive and we have to make sure that we don't allow China to do exactly what it is doing, which is becoming the world superpower."
