House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said a bill addressing the economic fallout of the coronavirus outbreak has not been endorsed by the Trump administration.
The Hill noted the bill is headed to the House floor Thursday.
Pelosi has had discussions with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in hopes of reaching a bipartisan deal on the Democrats' measure.
"We have had ongoing conversations about it," she said. "We will be bringing the bill to the floor. We've given a good deal of time for them to review the package, and we'll go from there."
She called a question about bipartisan support "premature" since the House bill was released less than 12 hours ago.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the bill would provide for paid sick leave for people affected by the virus and expand unemployment insurance.
President Donald Trump, in his address to the nation Wednesday night, called on people to put politics aside in fighting the virus outbreak.
"We are all in this together," he said. "We must put politics aside, stop the partisanship, and unify together as one nation and one family."
