Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, is still deputy finance chair for the Republican National Committee despite being the subject of an FBI investigation.
RNC spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany confirmed Cohen's position on Friday to J.D. Durkin, the White House correspondent for Cheddar.com.
Cohen is currently the subject of a criminal probe over possible campaign finance violations in connection with a hush-money payoff to adult film star Stormy Daniels who claims she had an affair with Trump in 2006.
McEnany said she is keeping close watch on developments in the Cohen probe.
"I have concerns about the violation of attorney-client privilege, and when the Southern District of New York invaded his office, swept up material, violating the president's privacy, his clients' privacy, Michael Cohen's privacy. So that's where my concerns lie," she said.
