FLOTUS Rebukes Trump's Ex-wife Ivana's 'Self-serving Noise'

FLOTUS Rebukes Trump's Ex-wife Ivana's 'Self-serving Noise'

First lady Melania Trump apparently was not in a joking mood when she learned of her husband's ex-wife's comments that she is somehow "first lady" because she was President Donald Trump's first wife, CNN is reporting.

Ivana Trump, making the rounds on TV shows to plug her upcoming book titled "Raising Trump," jokingly said Monday that "I'm basically first Trump wife, OK? I'm first lady, OK?" she told ABC.

Melania, the president's third wife, was not amused.

"Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and the president. She loves living in Washington, DC, and is honored by her role as first lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books," FLOTUS communications director Stephanie Grisham told CNN in a statement.

"There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex, this is unfortunately only attention-seeking and self-serving noise," Grisham told CNN.

Ivana, mother to three of Trump's children — Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric — said on "60 Minutes" Sunday that she's the one who advised the president to tweet.

Marla Maples, Trump's second wife, is the mother of Tiffany Trump.
