Megyn Kelly extended an olive branch to Donald Trump, saying she'd "absolutely" have the Republican presidential front-runner on her Fox News program if he wants to make an appearance.
Trump has been warring with Kelly for months — a battle that began after the first GOP presidential debate when she asked the billionaire developer about alleged sexist remarks he had made.
But Kelly, in an interview with Charlie Rose aired Friday on
"CBS This Morning," said, "I think before it's all over he will come on my show."
She noted that she and Trump had no relationship before the fateful debate that triggered his anger. He has since labeled her as "crazy" and "overrated."
"I think it's very clear to him that he cannot control the editorial on my show or from me in a debate or other setting," Kelly said. "If he could pull himself back in, you know, just somewhat … he could be so much more effective."
Rose's complete interview with Kelly will air this weekend on CBS' "Sunday Morning."
