Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel dismissed polling that shows Joe Biden leading President Donald Trump, calling the data too “far out” to forecast voting in November.
In an interview on ABC News’ “This Week,” McDaniel said the numbers from key state polling isn’t reliable at this point — and points out 2016 election polling was “historically inaccurate.”
“I don’t really rely on polling this far out,” she said. “As you know… the polling is going to fluctuate, and we all know the polling today is not going to be what we see on Nov. 3.”
According to McDaniel, polls show voters happy with Trump’s handling of the economy.
“What we have seen consistently… is voters approve of the president’s handling of the economy heading into this pandemic, and they recognize that he’s going to be the leader to restore the economy coming out of this,” she declared.
