Neither the Republicans or Democrats play fair when it comes to giving political challengers a shot, former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley says.
"They never write the rules in such a way to help challengers," O'Malley, who ended his run for the Democratic presidential nomination earlier this year, told
The Washington Post late Monday.
O'Malley, in Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention, also urged Democrats from The Old Line State to defeat Republicans this November.
But he made no mention of not presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, who he endorsed last month.
