Trump Super PAC Has Half of $46M Raised in Late 2023

By    |   Thursday, 25 January 2024 08:25 AM EST

MAGA Inc., the super PAC aligned with former President Donald Trump's White House campaign, brought in more than $46 million in the second half of last year, but ended the year with half that amount, just over $23 million, remaining in cash on hand.

The super PAC, which provided its figures to Politico before next week's deadline to report campaign financing, revealed that more than a dozen donors have given $1 million or more to MAGA Inc., with the biggest donation coming from Mellon banking heir Timothy Mellon, a transportation executive who gave $10 million.

Other key donors included Linda McMahon, one of the founders of WWE and the head of the Small Business Administration under Trump, giving $5.25 million to the super PAC.

Construction executive Diane Hendricks and oil billionaire Timothy Dunn contributed $5 million each, the reports show.

Southern California real estate developer Geoffrey Palmer, Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, and oil and gas executive George Bishop contributed $1 million each to MAGA Inc.

The super PAC's donations grew sharply between the first half of the year when it took in $13 million. It has been urging early donations, warning givers that Democrats will force them to face hundreds of millions of dollars in expenditures from Democrats before the Republican National Convention in July.

Mellon has been a key Trump donor for years, having given $20 million to another super PAC supporting his reelection bid in 2020.

He has also funded Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s independent presidential candidacy, donating $5 million to pro-Kennedy American Values 2024 organization, more than 50% of what the organization has raised altogether.

MAGA Inc., established before the 2022 midterm elections, has become Trump's primary super PAC, with $60 million of its early funding being transferred from Save America, Trump's leadership PAC. It refunded $12.5 million to Save America to help pay for the former president's legal fees.

Former Trump adviser Taylor Budowich founded MAGA Inc. and serves as its CEO. Longtime Trump pollster and strategist Tony Fabrizio also guides the organization, and Meredith O'Rourke is its fundraiser.
