Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. told Fox News on Tuesday that he is “hellbent on making sure that somebody investigates” former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
“I am hellbent on making sure that somebody investigates the investigators,” Graham said on Fox News’ “The Trey Gowdy Podcast,” hosted by the former congressman Trey Gowdy. “The time has come for us to look at the other side of the story. Stay tuned. There’s going to be a lot of stuff come out.”
Graham announced last weekend that he plans to grant an earlier request from Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee to have Mueller testify before the panel about his investigation.
“From the first time he testified to now, a lot has changed,” he added, noting that the Justice Department’s inspector general criticized the FBI over its application for a warrant for former Trump campaign aide Carter Page. Graham also claimed that he “had no intention” of calling Mueller to testify until he commented on President Donald Trump’s commuting Roger Stone’s sentence.
“Bottom line is, I had no intention of calling Mr. Mueller. He testified before the House. It was not pretty to watch. But at the end of the day, Trey, he decided to interject himself into the Roger Stone case,” Graham said.
