South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham was the most eager to take advantage of CNN's presidential debate rules encouraging the candidates to interact with each other.
Graham went on the attack against rival candidate Rick Santorum, the former senator from Pennsylvania, saying he never saw Santorum's plan to solve the illegal immigration problem.

Santorum responded he did have a plan in 2006, and as he tried to lay it out Graham repeatedly interjected.
"How many Democrats supported your plan? How many Democrats did you have on your bill?" Graham asked.
"I don't know how many Democrats …" Santorum began.
"I can tell you: none," Graham shot back.
"The point is that I had a bill," Santorum said.
"That went nowhere," Graham said.
"You're right, Lindsey, it went nowhere because we had a president for more comprehensive …" Santorum said.
"George W. Bush," Graham said.
"That's right," Santorum said.
"Who won with Hispanics," Graham said.
"You know what we need to do, Lindsey?" Santorum replied. "We need to win, we need to win fighting for Americans."
"In my world, Hispanics are Americans," Graham replied.
