President Donald Trump’s pardon of Dinesh D’Souza was “a one-off” — and there’s no evidence he intends to pardon Michael Flynn or Paul Manafort, former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said Sunday.
In an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Lewandowski charged “people want to make this a political issue,” referring to the pardon of D’Souza, who pleaded guilty in 2014 to breaking campaign finance laws.
The “pardon was a one-off,” Lewandowski said about the action for the conservative pundit, pushing back on an assertion by Trump ally Roger Stone that Trump is sending a “signal” to special counsel Robert Mueller.
“There's absolutely no evidence whatsoever that the president has ever discussed having a pardon for Mike Flynn or Paul Manafort or anybody else for that matter,” he added, “and with all due respect to Roger Stone, I don't think he has any idea what he's talking about.”
