Katie Arrington, a House candidate in South Carolina, said that her faith helped her survive a car crash.
"I didn't stop talking to God from the moment of impact. Very loudly — I was not quiet," Arrington told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" on Friday.
Last month, Arrington and friend Jackie Goff were involved in a head-on collision. The driver of the other vehicle, who was intoxicated and driving in the wrong direction, died on impact.
"If you don't believe in God, look at this face. Other than the bruise on my lip, Jackie and I have no facial trauma, no neurological damage. If you don't understand that was God's good embrace holding me and Jackie, you just need to believe," Arrington said.
Arrington defeated incumbent Rep. Mark Sanford, R-S.C. in a June primary before the crash.
She told Fox News she will return to the campaign trail.
Her Democratic opponent, Joe Cunningham, suspended his own campaign while she recovered.
