Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly suggested President Donald Trump use a sword on members of the press.
According to The New York Times, Kelly made the comment quietly and appeared to be joking.
The incident happened Wednesday at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut, where the president was giving a commencement address. After he gave the address, a representative of the academy's 2017 class gave him the sword.
"This is beautiful. Thank you, thank you very much," Trump said, according to The Times.
Trump posed for a picture with the sword and the class representative, then sat back down next to Kelly.
"Use that on the press, sir," Kelly said.
Trump responded: "Yeah," then chuckled, according to The Times.
