Former Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein raised $2.5 million in 24 hours to fund election recounts in 3 key states, Buzzfeed reported.

Stein's website says, "After seeing compelling evidence of voting anomalies, the Stein/Baraka Green Party campaign is launching an effort to ensure the integrity of our elections. With your help, we are raising money to demand recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania — three states where the data suggests significant discrepancies in vote totals."

A donation counter on the site says the campaign's goal was $2.5 million by Friday, Nov. 25 at 4 p.m. CT, a deadline Stein crushed.

President-elect Donald Trump was named the winner in all three states. Stein got 1.1 percent of the vote in Michigan and Wisconsin and 0.8 percent of the vote in Pennsylvania, according to the Hill.

The Green Party's focuses include democracy, social justice, and ecological balance, according to the party's key values.

Computer scientists and election lawyers are calling for Hillary Clinton to challenge the voting results in those same three states, according to New York Magazine.
