Comey Tweets About Character, Power

Former FBI Director James Comey tweeted a cryptic quote concerning what the use of power reveals about a person's character.

The quote, posted Wednesday on Comey's Twitter account, was attributed to politician Robert G. Ingersoll, who is said to have made the comment in 1883 about Abraham Lincoln.

The Hill noted Comey sometimes tweets during news events. This tweet came during Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein's testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. It also came after Republican Roy Moore was defeated in the Alabama Senate race by Democrat Doug Jones.

However, The Hill said it was unclear just what Comey's tweet referred to — if anything.
