Ivanka Trump to Join Rep. Kevin McCarthy for Fundraisers in June

President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, is scheduled to appear at two fundraisers next month in California with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., Politico is reporting.

Ivanka Trump, who serves a senior adviser in the White House, is set to headline June 18 events in Fresno and Los Angeles, the website said.

The events will raise money for Protect the House, a fundraising committee started by McCarthy and Vice President Mike Pence.

"At the request of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Ivanka Trump will be headlining a June 18 Protect the House fundraiser with the Leader in California," said a statement from her office.

The statement added the two have worked closely on legislation in the past, including the tax cut plan.
