Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman has failed to gain much traction in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. And now he’s facing another staff shake-up,
Politico reports.
Washington-based fundraising consultants Jim McCray and Monica Notzon are leaving the Huntsman camp, GOP sources said. Ann Herberger, a veteran Florida fundraiser who previously worked for Tim Pawlenty’s campaign, is coming aboard the Huntsman effort as finance director. Ben Porritt, a press specialist for Sen. John McCain and former President George W. Bush also is joining the Huntsman team.
In addition, some Huntsman campaign workers are moving from the Florida operation to New Hampshire. This signals the campaign’s financial woes and that the candidate must do well in the nation’s second caucus/primary state to continue his campaign.
