Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is pushing President Donald Trump to speak out against hate crimes throughout the nation.
Clinton's tweet linked to a story in the Kansas City Star detailing the plight of Sunayana Dumala, whose husband, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, was shot and killed in a bar.
The couple had traveled from India to attend college in the United States.
"We've read many times in newspapers of some kind of shooting happening," she said. "And we always wondered, how safe?"
This is not the first time Clinton has called on Trump to speak out. She tweeted back on Feb. 21:
Trump has denounced anti-Semitism after coming under pressure to address attacks on the Jewish community, The Hill reported.
