Hillary Clinton's campaign will portray Donald Trump as an "out-of-touch" billionaire — just as Barack Obama did four years ago to successfully defeat Mitt Romney,
Time reports.
But Clinton's camp tends to go even further, accusing the billionaire real-estate tycoon as continually stiffing the little guy.
"He's been a deadbeat when it comes to paying people who did work for him, and I don't think that's what white working-class voters are looking for in a President," the Clinton camp's Joel Benenson tells the magazine.
"This guy refused to pay people who were doing the work. He put small businesses out of business. He refused to pay workers like painters and carpenters.
"There are ample opportunities to have hard-working Americans talk about the damage that Donald Trump caused in their lives."
The Trump campaign has steadfastly portrayed Trump as a tireless supporter of the nation's blue-collar workers.
