Former President Bill Clinton and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton are buying the house next door to their current suburban New York residence, the New York Post reports.
According to the Post, the Clintons are paying $1.16 million for the three-bedroom, 3,631-square-foot, ranch-style home on a little more than an acre-and-a-half in Chappaqua, N.Y.
"Rumor has it that the Clintons plan to use this as a mother/daughter house for Chelsea and her kids to visit on the weekends when they want to escape the city and their Flatiron digs since the Chappaqua house has a nice pool and plenty of rolling green lawn for kids to play on," an unnamed source tells the Post.
The Clintons moved to their current home on a cul-de-sac in the posh suburb in 1999 — and, according to the Post, security around their home has gotten tighter since Hillary Clinton's presidential bid.
"The Secret Service closed off [part] of the Old House Lane cul-de-sac, so no one can just drive in like it was open before," one unnamed resident told the newspaper. "Now you can't get close to it anymore. Now they have a little compound."
