Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said on Twitter Saturday that Jeff Sessions wouldn't be the right choice to replace John Kelly as secretary of Homeland Security.
Graham was responding to a Politico report that said Sessions, the attorney general, was being considered for the position along with Texas Rep. Michael McCaul, Thomas Homan, acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who is leading the president's commission on alleged voter fraud.
Kelly took over as White House chief of staff after President Donald Trump ousted Reince Priebus in an explosive move Friday.
