Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden questioned the memory of those Americans who said they were better off today than they were when President Donald Trump was elected four years ago, Fox News reported.
When Cincinnati’s WKRC Channel 12 on Monday cited a recent Gallup poll that showed 56% of voters said they were better off now than they were four years ago, while only 32% said they were worse off, and asked "why should people who feel that they're better off today under a Trump administration vote for you?" Biden said, "Well if they think that, they probably shouldn't."
Biden, who four years ago was ending eight years as President Barack Obama’s vice president, added that "their memory is not very good, quite frankly. And in addition to that, we have a president who doesn't share the values of most Americans. He's not very honest with people. He's flouting the conventions relative to public safety in terms of, even now, not wearing a mask, a guy who has been a super spreader. But look, whatever they believe they should go out and vote."
Trump jumped on the Gallup poll to bolster his campaign, writing on Twitter that “The Gallup Poll has just come out with the incredible finding that 56% of you say that you are better off today, during a pandemic, than you were four years ago (OBiden). Highest number on record! Pretty amazing!"
