Donald Trump's son Eric tweeted a picture of his Election Day ballot on Monday — an act illegal under New York State law and which carries a possible fine or jail, New York Magazine reports.

In the Twitter post, which has since been deleted, the Republican presidential nominee's son crows: "It is such an incredible honor to vote for my father. He will do such a good job for the U.S.A.!"

Accompanying the quote is a photo depicting a ballot with the circle by the name of his father and vice-presidential running mate Mike Pence name filled in in ink.

But the practice, while seemingly innocent, is a legal no-no in The Empire State.

New York says it is a misdemeanor to show a ballot "after it is prepared for voting." A conviction carries a fine of $1,000 or up to a year in jail.

Mother Jones says it's the second voting embarrassment for Eric who last year, along with his sister Ivanka, did not register as a Republican in time to cast a ballot in the New York primary.
