Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and Gov. Martin O’Malley of Maryland will address the Democratic National Convention, the convention’s committee announced.
Also on the list are former Gov. Tim Kaine of Virginia, Gov. John Hickenlooper of Colorado, Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts, former Gov. Ted Strickland of Ohio, and California Attorney General Kamala Harris.
Emanuel was President Barack Obama’s chief of staff and O’Malley, chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, has been discussed as a possibility for a 2016 presidential run.
Previously announced speakers at the convention are Bill Clinton, San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, and Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren. Former President Jimmy Carter will address the convention via video.
The 2012 Democratic National Convention will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, from September 4 to September 6.
