President-elect Donald Trump apparently won't be working on "The Celebrity Apprentice" when he takes office after all, his senior adviser Kellyanne Conway confirmed Thursday.
Conway was addressing her comments from last week, in which she said Trump — who will remain the executive producer of the show moving forward — would do work related to it in his free time.
On Thursday, Conway told reporters at Trump Tower she was joking.
"I was kidding, OK? Any free time he has, he works. He works. I promise," Conway said, reports The Hill.
Conway served as Trump's campaign manager and guided him to victory in last month's presidential election.
She told CNN last week, "the presidents have a right to do things in their spare times and leisure time."
Trump himself followed that up with a Saturday tweet that explained the situation:
He later posted another tweet on the matter that took a shot at CNN:
Trump hosted "The Celebrity Apprentice" from 2008-2015. Next year, it will be hosted by actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
