President Donald Trump early Friday praised the House of Representatives for approving a bill to keep the government open, but again raised the specter of a "shutdown coming" if Democrats in the Senate don't vote with Republicans on the bill.

In a tweet sent just after 7 a.m., Trump also said, "We need more Republican victories in 2018!"

The House-passed a spending bill would keep the government open through Feb. 16.

However, the measure could fail in the Senate because it lacks a solution for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.  Nearly all Democrats in the upper chamber have said they will not support a bill without a DACA fix.
