Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro on Sunday told President Donald Trump to “stay out of” the Russia probe and let Special Counsel Robert Mueller “do his job.”

“You need to be subpoenaed for obstruction of justice/conspiracy/money laundering,” said Castro, a member of the House Foreign Affairs and House Intelligence Committees, in response to a tweet by Trump demanding the Justice Department look into whether his 2016 presidential campaign was infiltrated or surveilled.

"I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!" Trump wrote on Twitter.

The president also demanded an end to Mueller’s investigation into election interference.

"At what point does this soon to be $20,000,000 Witch Hunt, composed of 13 Angry and Heavily Conflicted Democrats and two people who have worked for Obama for 8 years, STOP!" Trump tweeted.

"Republicans and real Americans should start getting tough on this Scam," he added, referring to Clinton.
