President Donald Trump during a wide-ranging interview with Piers Morgan said he does not consider himself a feminist or a misogynist.

“No, I wouldn't say I'm a feminist. I mean, I think that would be, maybe, going too far. I'm for women, I'm for men, I’m for everyone,” he told Morgan during an interview set to air Sunday on ITV.

When asked what he felt about women who think of him as a misogynist and sexist, Trump replied: "Well, I am for them and I think a lot of them understand that.

“You know, I won many categories of women and the women vote in the election, and people were shocked to see it. I was running against a woman and I’m winning all of these categories. And I think I would do even better right now. Women have the best unemployment numbers that they’ve had in 17 years. And they’re doing tremendously in business, they’re doing tremendously in so many ways. And people are starting to see that.”

Morgan interviewed Trump during his trip to the Davos World Economic Forum in Sweden.

The president also apologized for sharing anti-Muslim tweets posted by far-right British activists, telling Morgan he had no idea who the original poster was.

"I don't want to cause any difficulty for your country,” he said.

"If you are telling me they're horrible people, horrible, racist people, I would certainly apologize if you'd like me to do that."

On his upcoming trip to Britain, Trump said:

"I think I’m very popular in your country."

When Morgan pointed out that opposition politicians like Jeremy Corbyn and Sadiq Khan wanted him banned, the president replied: "That’s their problem. I mean, if they don’t, I could very nicely stay home. I think a lot of people in your country like what I stand for, they respect what I stand for."
