Although GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign initially announced he was likely to attend Colorado's Republican Convention on Saturday,
Red State reports that those plans have "fallen through" and the front-runner will not be in attendance.
"He will not be attending," said Kyle Kohli, communications director for the state GOP.
The real estate mogul's campaign said they have no plans to "travel or attend the rally or state assembly,"
9 News, an affiliate of NBC, reported.
However, Colorado GOP Chairman Steve House noted that a surrogate may attend the assembly in Trump's place the same way former New Hampshire Sen. John Sununu will serve as a surrogate for Gov. John Kasich.
Meanwhile, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has confirmed his attendance at the sold out convention at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs.
Red State notes the party will elect 13 delegates to the national convention at the event.
