President Donald Trump fired yet another taunting salvo at Chuck Schumer on Friday, accusing the Senate minority leader of making the path to a solution concerning the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program "increasingly difficult."
As well, the commander in chief again tagged the Democratic lawmaker with the insulting nickname, 'Cryin' Chuck Schumer."
It's the second trashing of Schumer by Trump this week following last weekend's brief government shutdown.
On Wednesday, the president tweeted:
That tweet came after reports surfaced earlier in the day that Schumer of New York had rescinded his offer to give Trump more than $1.6 billion in border wall funding in exchange for DACA protection for "Dreamers."
Sen. Dick Durbin, an Illinois Democrat, told Politico that a Schumer aide had told the White House Monday that Schumer's border wall pledge, made on Friday, was off the table.
