Rasmussen Poll: Sanders Edges Trump 45 to 41 Percent

Donald Trump may have beaten out Hillary Clinton in a Rasmussen Reports poll released Thursday — but Bernie Sanders edges out the presumptive Republican presidential nominee in a new survey released Friday.

Here are the results of the poll of 1,000 likely voters, conducted Tuesday and Wednesday:
  • Sanders: 45 percent.
  • Trump: 41 percent.
Among Republicans:
  • Trump: 75 percent.
  • Sanders: 16 percent.
Among Democrats:
  • Sanders: 74 percent.
  • Trump: 13 percent.
Among independents:
  • Sanders: 44 percent.
  • Trump: 38 percent.
Among men:
  • Trump: 47 percent.
  • Sanders: 39 percent.
Among women:
  • Sanders: 51 percent.
  • Trump: 36 percent.
Among those under 40:
  • Sanders: 61 percent.
  • Trump: 28 percent.
In Thursday's poll, Rasmussen found that Trump beat Clinton among likely voters, 42 to 37 percent.

The Rasmussen poll released Friday has a margin of error of 3 percent.
