Donald Trump says he likes Sen. Bernie Sanders' assessment that Democratic rival Hillary Clinton isn't qualified to be president – interpreting the Vermont lawmaker's pronouncement as a condemnation of her "bad judgment."
At a campaign event Thursday night in Harrisburg, Pa., Trump noted the Vermont senator has "been tough on her."
"He said a couple of little things, he said, 'She suffers from bad judgment,'" Trump began, according to
NBC News.
"And she said, 'No.'"
Trump then added: "I don't know, I think she's qualified, I guess. But that doesn't mean she's good."
"I mean I actually like, he said she is not qualified to be president," Trump said of Sanders' critique, NBC News reports. "Now, what he meant is because her judgment is so bad, so Bernie Sanders — not me — said she's not qualified. So now I'm gonna say she's not qualified. OK."
Trump also declared that despite a delegate election system he's blasted as "rigged," "we're winning a lot" and "we're kicking ass,"
the Washington Examiner reports – a boast following his big win in the New York primary.
