More than half of Democrats voting in Tuesday's West Virginia primary told exit pollsters they will not vote for Hillary Clinton, their party's likely nominee, a sign that her statement about putting the coal industry out of business hurt her there.
And only a fourth of Democrats in that state who come from coal industry households voted for Clinton, even though she tried to assure West Virginian's she misspoke at a Kentucky town hall event when she said, renewable energy plan would "put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business."

- Sanders: 68 percent
- Clinton: 24 percent
Worried about the economy:
- Very: 67 percent
- Somewhat: 24 percent
- Not too: 7 percent
- Not at all: 2 percent
2016 vote for president between a Clinton/Trump matchup:
- Clinton: 44 percent
- Trump: 33 percent
- Neither: 21 percent
2016 vote for president between a Sanders/Trump matchup:
- Sanders: 48 percent
- Trump: 32 percent
- Neither: 18 percent
Policies of next president should be:
- Same as Obama: 27 percent
- More liberal: 25 percent
- Less liberal: 42 percent
Selection process for Democratic nominee has been:
- Fair: 60 percent
- Unfair: 38 percent
