The Democratic National Committee has launched an ad blitz against President Donald Trump in South Florida.
The 60-second spot is part of a six-figure ad buy in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale television market, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel. It began airing on Thursday.
The ad starts off with photos of Trump and a narrator saying: "Born and raised in New York City. From his father, he learned the lessons of his success: Lie, cheat, and steal. He inherited hundreds of millions, and squandered it on failed businesses. Six bankruptcies. Settled $25 million dollars for scamming students. Sued by thousands including the Justice Department for discriminating against Black people in his housing. Accused by 26 women of sexual misconduct, including assault and rape.”
It ends with the narrator saying: “America can’t afford four more years of Donald Trump.”
Broward and Miami-Dade counties are the only areas where the ad will air.
Tom Perez, chairman of the DNC said: “(Trump’s) failures have sparked one crisis after another, costing Floridians their health, lives, and livelihoods. Working families deserve competent, unifying leadership in the White House.”
Meanwhile, Trump's campaign has released an almost 5-minute-long video that compiles 38 times the president has denounced white supremacy in a pushback against the continued claims being made by Democrat nominee Joe Biden.
