The nonprofit arm of the Democratic Senate Majority PAC is launching a digital ad campaign in 10 states in an effort to convince voters the Republican tax law is designed to help corporations and the wealthy, The Hill is reporting.

The ad campaign by Majority Forward claims the tax plan could have a negative impact on the debt and Medicare and does not prioritize the middle class, according to the website.

"Corporate tax cuts are permanent — yours aren't," one of the ads reads.

The ads direct people to a website blasting "the GOP tax scam," The Hill reported.

And J.B. Poersch, president of Majority Forward, told The Hill: "Republicans are trying to pull off a bait and switch that will screw the middle class in the end."

"It's crucial for voters to know that Republicans passed the tax bill to appease corporations and billionaires who fund their political careers. Middle class families need Senators that will protect Medicare and stand up to the Koch brothers, and Republicans running for the Senate are completely unwilling to do the job."

The ads target Ohio, Florida, North Dakota, Arizona, Nevada, Indiana, Montana, Missouri, Wisconsin, and West Virginia — 10 states with competitive Senate races.

Meanwhile, Republicans see the tax law as a key to a successful midterm election and have started their own campaign touting the legislation approved by the GOP-led Congress.
