If the debate moderator does not do so Thursday, President Donald Trump will bring up recent stories in the New York Post that Joe Biden met a Ukrainian businessman associated with his son, Hunter Biden, a Trump campaign adviser said Monday.

"I think Joe Biden is compromised," Trump campaign official Jason Miller said on Fox Business Network's "Mornings with Maria." "Joe Biden has now dodged this multiple times. Are you the 'big guy?' Are you the 'chairman?' Is Hunter Biden handling family expenses and setting aside money for you?"

Miller continued: "If Kristen Welker, the moderator, doesn't bring it up, I think you're pretty safe to assume that the president will. Again, these are real simple questions."

The allegations stem from the Post's reporting on an computer hard drive alleged to have belong to Hunter Biden that was left at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019 and never picked up.

The Post and conservatives cried foul when Twitter and Facebook blocked sharing of the story and locked accounts that attempted to share it over fact-checking issues. Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani provided the Post with the laptop, and allegations of a Russian disinformation campaign followed.

Director of National Intelligence Daniel Ratcliffe said Monday there is no indication of such a campaign on the part of Russia connected to the laptop.

The Senate Intelligence Committee has opened a probe into the emails.
