The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee set records in its second quarter fundraising and ended June with a sizable bank account,
the Wall Street Journal reported.
The DCCC:
- Raised $12 million in June
- Raised $28.7 million in the second quarter
- Ended June with $57 million in the bank
The campaign arm of House Democrats called the haul historic.
"Supporters across the country are uniting to ensure that Democrats have the resources necessary to take the fight to House Republicans, who continue to fall in line with Donald Trump, instead of standing up to him," DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Lujan, D-New Mexico, told the WSJ.
The Journal reports that the Republican fundraising arm, the NRCC, has yet to post its June numbers, but that it raised $2 million less than the DCCC did in May — $8 million.
