Former White House press secretary Dana Perino offered her "rule on leaks" Monday, tweeting her thoughts on the recent leaks coming from President Donald Trump's administration.
Perino, who served as President George W. Bush's press secretary for two years, said leakers are most likely the first to complain, though the press office and the president are almost certainly not the source.
The BBC's Katty Kay asked if Perino was implying that Trump himself, often the first and most vocal critic of the leaks, was behind them.
Leading Perino to explain.
Trump recently blamed his predecessor, President Barack Obama, for the leaks, saying, "I think that President Obama is behind it because his people are certainly behind it," during an interview on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" released Tuesday.
